Map of precise locations for the events of October 7th and the initial days of fighting. The map displays the locations of the victims - civilians and security forces - from the outbreak of the attack on the morning of October 7th until October 9th, the last date on which Israelis are known to have been harmed by the initial assault.

Legend: Blue - Abduction locations; Red - Locations of murder, falling in battle, abduction of deceased individuals, accidental deaths, or operational accidents. Information Layers: Information and background layers can be selected in the menu located in the top-right corner of the map.

Important Highlights and Methodological Information about the Map:

• What does the location represent? The points represent the location where people were harmed or abducted, but not necessarily the location where death was pronounced. The data is based, among other things, on official information, information from families and eyewitnesses, as well as geolocation.
• The Nova Festival Compound: Precise locations could not be identified for 18 murdered individuals and one female hostage, although all are known to have been inside or near the festival compound. Therefore, they are not marked with specific points on the map. The names of the murdered individuals whose precise locations were not identified: Edberg Asaf Mordechai, Edri Ido, Ohayon Eden Liz, Azulay Yohai, Iluz Eliya Eliyahu, Barazani Stav, Gurevich-Vasilkovsky Lilia, Vaknin Michael, Hanom Cohen Yechezkel, Tavgan Goldman Katerina, Lipovsky Ilan, Magnezi Amit, Madar Shahak Yosef, Malihi Ratzabi Amitay, Sividia Shlomi Shlomo, Edri Idan, Rotenberg Noam Elimelech, Rahamim Dvir, Segev Tomer Moshe. • Gaza Envelope Communities: For some of those murdered and abducted in their homes, only the neighborhood location is displayed (bounded within a pink frame). Since precise addresses were not published in the media, the exact locations are kept in our records. For cases where the information was publicly released, the precise location appears alongside a link to the relevant publication.
